Why put games on a site about Scripture? Let the Bible answer, one line after another.
“Whenever you come together, each one has a hymn, a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Everything is to be done for building up.”
1 Corinthians 14:26 CSB“Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”
Colossians 3:16 CSB“How delightfully good when brothers live together in harmony!”
Psalm 133:1 CSB“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.”
Proverbs 17:22 CSB“The streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing in them.”
Zechariah 8:5 CSB“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31 CSB“And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Colossians 3:17 CSB“Let all that you do be done in love.”
1 Corinthians 16:14 LSB“Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.”
Colossians 3:23–24 CSB“We proclaim him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.”
Colossians 1:28 CSB“And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:8 CSBA game is one of the oldest ways people gather. It slows a family down long enough to sit at the same table. It gives a nervous student something to do with their hands while they learn. It turns an ordinary evening into time two people spend on purpose, together.
None of that is a distraction from the life of faith. Eating, drinking, laughing, practicing sums, and talking late into the night can all be done for the glory of God, as gifts received with thanks rather than time merely spent. The games collected here are made in that spirit: modest, joyful, and built so that the Word of God is never far from the table.
The card game grew because people made it their own. These games can grow the same way. If you have made a game that builds people up, whether for a classroom, a youth group, a family, or a couple, we would love to hear about it. Tell us in the Community Expansion workshop notes.
